Happy Pride, everyone — and Happy Site Launch Day!

I’ve spent most of this week getting everything set up so I can finally launch this sucker — and I’m thrilled to have a real space to pour out everything that’s been rattling around in my head for years. I’ve been sitting on a mountain of thoughts about cocktails, bars, mixology, vibes — and how all of it could be better. I’m excited to spotlight the people doing incredible work… and probably even more excited to lovingly critique the scene where it falls short. This launch is long overdue, and while the site isn’t exactly where I want it yet, it feels like a huge exhale to get it started.

I adore cocktail and tiki bars, and I love mixing drinks even more, so expect lots of that in The Tiki Room.

Today also marks the 56th anniversary of the Stonewall riots. With the way things are going in the world, it’s more vital than ever to show up, stand out, and be unapologetically visible. Be you — fully, fiercely, and with joy. Remind the world there’s nothing wrong with being exactly who you are. And help others do the same. Vegas doesn’t celebrate Pride until National Coming Out Day in October (for… heat-related reasons 🥵), but I’m sending big love to all my Seattle friends celebrating this weekend.

Please party smart. Shine bright, dance hard, kiss who you want — but don’t get so obliterated you forget the point of the celebration. We’re still here, still fabulous, and still fighting.
