The List of Vegas Tiki Bars

Here is the master list of all known, operating Tiki and Tiki-adjacent (and other noteworthy) bars in Las Vegas. If I’m missing anything, please contact me!
(If you wanna cut to the chase check out the stuff I DO NOT recommend at the very bottom.)

POP-UP TIKI BARS

Noteworthy Cocktail Bars

  • Liquid Diet!!! (Arts District- There’s nothing like this anywhere else. Get the apple martini or bell pepper martini or michelada or…)

  • Oak and Ivy (Downtown- Fremont East- cocktail nerds of the highest caliber who want to show you cool stuff.)

  • Nocturno (Arts District- VERY focused on high quality drinks; huge range, great inventive food too!)

  • Vesper (Cosmopolitan- one of my all-time favorites for decades- great menu ask for the secret menu too)

  • Doberman Drawing Room (Arts District- absolutely stunning buildout, and sometimes they just take walkins)

  • Atomic Liquors (Downtown- Fremont East)

  • Jammyland (Arts District - insane rum selection, great cocktails, best Mai Tai in town and it’s not a tiki bar)

  • Bar Ginza (Arts District - huge Japanese whiskey selection)

  • Velveteen Rabbit (Arts District - decent overall but a couple very memorable drinks on their menu)

  • Chandelier Bar (Cosmopolitan - you want the middle floor whenever possible.)

  • Bound (Cromwell, for now)

  • All (3) Vanderpump Restaurant-Bars (Caesar’s, Paris, Flamingo - spendy but drink execution is GREAT)

  • Peppermill Fireside Lounge (North Strip - for the retro kitsch factor, kind of an institution)

  • Corduroy (Downtown- Fremont East - perfectly executed cocktails at a dive bar. Good ice.)

Noteworthy Speakeasies

  • Ski Lodge (Cosmopolitan)

  • Pier 17 Yacht Club (Caesar’s)

  • 1923 Prohibition Bar(s) (Shops at Mandalay Place, Venetian)

  • CC Speakeasy (Arts District)

* YES Stray Pirate counts as Tiki in my book even though technically it contains no actual Tiki, and that’s the whole freaking point. Go build your own site.




You’re gonna have a good time at anything in the above lists (aside from anything marked ‘not good.’) There are lots of other bars I’ve tried that are “fine.” I’ll probably list more under noteworthy in the coming weeks. But if it’s not here it doesn’t mean I haven’t tried it.

But here’s a list of bars that just aren’t really worth your time or money. These bars make me actually angry. (This list is subject to change at any time - bars can get better!):

Non-Noteworthy/Overrated Vegas Bars

  • The Underground Speakeasy and Distillery (Downtown under the Mob Museum) - seriously this is overrated, don’t go here. The museum part is fine if you’re into that.

  • Mas Por Favor (Chinatown) - drinks, cleanliness, noise level, food, service all subpar. Kind of a cool space though. The drug tunnel is the best part.
